Abstract
A method for modeling the microstructure of steel by the average grain diameter of the metal and its different grain size is proposed. Voronoy diagrams are used for visual modeling of the grain structure of 12Kh1MF steel. The developed method provides the same metric characteristics of real and simulated images of the microstructure, namely: the average grain diameter, the number of grains in the image, the distribution histogram and others. The proposed method is verified using fractal dimensions. It is established that the fractal dimensions of the grain boundaries of real and simulated images differ by 1.12%.
