Abstract
Vibrations due to shaft angular misalignment are among the most common defects which cause increased wear in bearings. The results of processing vibration signals obtained on the support of a bearing assembly with artificially created misalignment during laboratory tests of the BBC-R 6205 2RS/P6 bearing are presented. Using the methods of periodically non-stationary random processes time changes of the vibration signals of a rolling bearing in the nominal mode and under the condition of an angular misalignment of 0.5° are investigated. The possibility of detecting the fact of the initiation and development of a bearing defect on the outer ring is shown.
