Abstract
Analytical relations are presented for calculating the stress intensity factor KI and its change dKI/da (regarding the characteristic size of the crack-like defect) at the crack tip in structural elements of structures during crack growth. Several pipeline systems with defects of various shapes and locations under internal pressure are considered. For each structural element with a crack-like defect of a given shape and location, the corresponding dimensionless relations for crack growth dKI/da are used. The proposed approach can serve as a tool for a more detailed analysis of not only pipeline systems, but also of other elements of technical structures.
