Abstract
Parts made of aluminum alloys are widely used in industry. Their properties are improved by applying layers. Anodizing provides a layer thickness of up to 80 m. Cascade anodizing in a pulsed mode compared to the stationary anodizing contributes to the formation of a layer of greater thickness and microhardness. The samples were anodized in a basic sulfate electrolyte at different concentrations. The specific features of the formation of the phase composition of the layers are investigated. The wear resistance of the synthesized layers was determined by ball-plane studies. The change in the friction coefficients when using steel and ceramic balls was established. The amount of wear of the synthesized layers was experimentally determined.
