Abstract
The YMgNi4–xCox (0 ≤ x ≤ 4) alloys were synthesized using the powder sintering method; their crystal structure, electrochemical, and catalytic properties were investigated. The obtained single-phase samples crystallize in the MgCu4Sn structure. Electrode materials were manufactured for the selected alloys, and their primary electrochemical characteristics were obtained, including maximum discharge capacity, cycling stability, and high-rate dischargeability. The application of these alloys for the catalytic reduction of CO2 was evaluated.
