Abstract
The possibility of using analytical dependences of the critical stress intensity factor KIc and hardness HV30 on microstructural parameters (volumetric content VCo and average size lCo of the cobalt phase, average size dWC, coefficient of variation V and contiguity C of the carbide phase) to determine the crack growth resistance and hardness of functionally gradient WC–Co cemented carbides is considered. The prospects of such an approach for modeling modern gradient structures are shown.
