Abstract

Residual thermal stresses in cemented carbides with a mesostructure of (WC–Co)gran–Co type, which significantly depend on the alloy composition and volume content of the phases are investigated by analytical methods. The tensile stress in the matrix layers is lower than stresses in standard cemented carbides of similar grades.
